Start with safe basic checks
Pause the cycle and follow the manufacturer instructions before opening any service flap. Water can be hot and may spill quickly.
Step 2
A kinked drain hose or a blocked user-cleanable pump filter is common. Keep towels and a shallow tray ready if the manual permits filter cleaning.
Step 3
Persistent humming, repeated drain errors or water returning to the drum may point to a pump, sensor or plumbing issue.
When to book a technician
Do not force a locked door. The interlock protects against flooding and high-speed drum movement. Arrange a technician if the emergency release procedure in the manual does not resolve it.
Disconnect power where the manufacturer instructs. Do not open sealed electrical or refrigerant systems without proper training.
